"At the beginning of sessions, we made a rough plan of things I wanted to talk through and so there was an agenda to keep on track, but then we could still stray from this if anything else came up whilst I was talking. This meant the sessions felt fluid and gave me space to explore different patterns of thought and behaviour freely.
I was given work I could take away and really think about and put into practice which was the main thing I was looking for in starting therapy again, and for me this was very effective. Having the theory behind each strategy explained in such a clear and understandable way helped me grasp the purpose of each task I worked on during the week between sessions. Ultimately, this seems to have stuck, and I can now go back to my therapy journal whenever I need to and the techniques that work for me are right there.
At all times I felt that I was being listened to, and when I got upset, I always felt comforted and never patronised. Therapy was a real safe space for me, and I cannot thank Natalie enough for letting me be myself, and at no point did I ever feel judged or like any matter was too small.
The service provided was excellent, the price was very reasonable compared to other private services I had found, and Natalie was flexible and accommodating to my needs. I couldn’t recommend Natalie’s services enough.

I attended Nightingale Therapy Limited following a traumatic incident at work. Prior to this, I had never experienced mental health issues and admittedly felt sceptical about starting therapy. At the time, I was suffering from trauma-related PTSD and experiencing intense flashbacks, which led to significant anxiety and stress. This eventually resulted in me being prescribed antidepressants.From the very first session, my therapist, Natalie, was warm, welcoming, and immediately put me at ease.
The therapy room itself was a calming, serene space that created the perfect environment for healing. Natalie demonstrated a deep understanding of mental health and quickly recognised that EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy would be the most effective approach for my situation.At the time, I was struggling greatly with distressing flashbacks, severe low moods, and overwhelming stress. I genuinely believed I wouldn’t recover. I also battled intense feelings of guilt and worthlessness, many of which were compounded by external factors within the working environment, far beyond my control.
One of the most significant early breakthroughs came when Natalie was able to identify and begin reversing these negative thought patterns, this marked a crucial turning point in my recovery.Natalie’s extensive experience meant that she could adapt our sessions to address different layers of trauma as they emerged. What impressed me most was that the therapy wasn’t confined to the traditional setting. On one occasion, Natalie took our session outdoors, walking with me through the streets to help me reframe and process the trauma in a real-world setting. This practical, immersive approach was incredibly powerful.
Her therapy style is both compassionate, direct and Natalie doesn’t shy away from the difficult work required for recovery. While some sessions were emotionally draining, they were equally transformative. Over time, the flashbacks became less intrusive until they eventually stopped altogether.During therapy, I came to understand how common feelings of worthlessness are following trauma. One moment that will stay with me forever occurred during a particularly difficult session. I was at a low point, and Natalie reminded me that “Your body did what it had to do to keep you alive.” That simple, profound statement carried me through the remainder of the therapy and continues to resonate with me today.
Between sessions, Natalie provided structured tasks to continue the work at home. In my case, this included exercises such as uncertainty belief experimental records, which helped me challenge and reframe unhelpful thoughts.Every time I left a session, I felt a genuine sense of progress, like I was one step closer to recovery. While I continued to take antidepressants in consultation with my doctor, I found that the most significant improvement came through working with a skilled and compassionate therapist like Natalie. I’ve since begun reducing my medication, with the goal of stopping entirely, which I now feel confident doing.
Without Natalie’s professional guidance and support, I don’t believe I could have come through such a traumatic experience. She expertly helped me navigate my trauma and deal with other related issues as they surfaced. I now feel emotionally stronger and more grounded than I was even before the incident.Natalie also introduced a therapeutic tool known as “Reclaiming Life,” which focused on reintegrating the activities and routines I used to enjoy prior to the trauma. This included in-session work, form completion, and practical implementation in my daily life. This played a major role in helping me reconnect with myself and my interests.
Thanks to Natalie’s expert therapy, I’ve regained my life. My personality has returned, I’m exercising again, eating better, as Natalie encouraged, and sleeping more soundly. I’m also close to returning to full hours at work, which has significantly improved my overall well-being.I cannot thank Natalie enough for her dedication, professionalism, and care. She has given me the tools to move forward with confidence, resilience, and a renewed sense of purpose. I’m now positive about the future and equipped with effective coping strategies to support my continued health and wellbeing.
